Provision of basic amenities

Free house site pattas are issued to the poor houseless Adi Dravidar families. Supply of protected drinking water is one of the scheme of priority among provision of basic amenities. Under infrastructure development, wells Bore wells are being provided. Further, Government is allocating funds for providing burial grounds and pathways to burial grounds. To cater to the need for conducting weddings, social gatherings, meetings etc., community halls are also constructed.

Pradhan Mantri Anusuchit Jati Abhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY)

From the year 2021-2022, the Pradhan Mantri – Anusuchit Jaati Abhyuday Yojana (PM-AJAY) has been introduced by Government of India by merging three existing schemes viz., Pradhan Mantri Adarsh Gram Yojana (PMAGY), Special Central Assistance to Scheduled Castes Sub Plan (SCA to SCSP) and Babu Jagjivan Ram Chhatrawas Yojana (BJRCY).

Objective of the Scheme

The main objective of this scheme is to ensure integrated development of the selected villages with more than 40% of scheduled caste population so Funds are allocated by the Government of India so that there is adequate infrastructure and improvement in socio -economic indicators as part of various sectors / Domains. These domains include Drinking water and Sanitation, Education, Health and Nutrition, Social security , Rural Roads and Housing, Electricity and Clean Fuel, Agricultural Practices,

The Government of India is providing Special Central Assistance, as a supplementary grant to the Scheduled Castes Sub Plan of the State to enhance infrastructural facilities, facilitate family income generating schemes, encourage economic development and provide skill development schemes and also to enhance the productivity and income of the Scheduled Caste families.

Objective of the Scheme

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is allocating funds for the construction of a new Hostel building at Adi Dravidar Welfare Department under the Babu Jegajivanram Chatravas Yojana. The project is being implemented with 100 per cent contribution for the construction of Girls hostel buildings and 50 per cent contribution for construction of Boys hostel buildings.

New buildings have been constructed for 208 hostels under this scheme from 2003-2004 to 2021-2022. Now the works are under progress in 13 Hostel Building for the years 2019-2020, 2021-2022 , out of with works are completed in to hostel
